At night, romans and tourists flock to Trastevere to enjoy its night style. Crossing the river Tiber, through the Ponte Palatino you will reach in few minutes the church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin, ( in the portico of the church, you can find la Bocca della Verità: a legend states that, if a person places his hand inside the mouth of the big face and then swears falsely, the mouth will close and cut the hand) and the Circo Massimo with its marvellous view on the Palatino Hill.
In Piazza della Genseola 15, nearby the apartment, there is the Osteria la Genseola, a famous roman restaurant that prepares its dishes with super fresh fish; if you prefer to have a walk, pass by the Isola Tiberina and you will arrive in the Jewish area (the Ghetto)of Rome.
In Via Portico di Ottavia, behind the Synagogue, there is the restaurant Ba Ghetto, famous for its Roman Jewish kosher cuisine.
Don’t forget to try the famous Jewish style artichokes, a real delight that you can taste only in Rome.
If you want to enjoy a drink in a special atmosphere, go to the Terrazza San Pancrazio in Via di San Pancrazio 32, the view is really fantastic as you are immediately under the Gianicolo.
